We have begun MPS rollouts this week and so far, things are going pretty well.  We have come across a requirement that will affect some others.

The absolute minimum RAM that a system can have and run MPS is 1GB.  If one of your machines has less than that, we will not be migrating it to MPS until its upgraded or replaced.

We've also hit a number of departments with older CF-29 Toughbooks and even with 1GB of RAM, they've struggled with MPS.  If you are still using CF-29s, its time to upgrade.  MPS will likely not work properly on any CF-29s.  The problem seems to be with the CPU.

For those that haven't begun to prep your machines yet, this is a reminder that you need unique machine names and unique user names.  If you include your township number, you're OK.  Its perfectly fine for you to name your machines xxMDC1 through xxMDC## with matching usernames, all with the same password.  If you have any questions about naming conventions, please email us or call us and we'll help you out.  We are now scheduling departments for this cutover.  So far we have had enough willing participants, but we are under a deadline.  The current CLEAN connection we are using with IMobile is being turned OFF by the state on June 30th.  After this date, you will not be able to run tags, OLNs, or any other queries from IMobile.

If you are a department without an official IT person or vendor and need assistance with the renaming of your machines, please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and we'll work something out.
